Thanks for the reminder Caz.....I must get a timer!<br /><br />'Apples for Jam' is one of my favourite cookery books, although I'm ashamed to say I've never actually tried any of the recipes! I also love 'Falling Cloudberries' an earlier book by Tessa Kiros. It was a present last Christmas. Her books are so lovely to look at. But I must try out some of her recipes.debby emadianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12222092755385566586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1136149811371784755.post-53600307692620983072010-05-02T18:06:59.746-07:002010-05-02T18:06:59.746-07:00My kids love boiled eggs with soldiers for breakfa...My kids love boiled eggs with soldiers for breakfast especially if it involves a novelty egg cup and a knitted egg cossie. Perhaps I'll draw a face on instead and see how they react?<br /><br />At the moment they are both really into Tessa Kiros' 'Egg with Bread and Butter' from her wonderful book, 'Apples for Jam'. Basically you boil an egg for 2 1/2 minutes (no more , no less so a timer is involved!)then you crack it in the middle and scoop it into a waiting glass filled with torn up bread and butter. It's not pretty but they seem to love it.Cazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11853693147709202804noreply@blogger.com
