Care to Blog Hop?

I know I'm late and it's not Friday but I wanted to link over to the Kitchen-Maid's post, Sweet, Sweet Friday and join her blog hop. I'm not quite sure exactly what a blog hop is! But it sounds like fun ......Actually it sounds a bit like a 1940's dance doesn't it? Anyone for the blog hop?

Anyway for my 'Sweet, Sweet' I made Sophie Dahl's, Orange yoghurt and polenta cake. That's the ninth Miss D recipe that I've tried and it was a resounding success. You can find it on page 209 of Miss Dahl's Voluptuous Delights (which you can buy for half price here.) It has all kinds of scrumptious ingredients like ground almonds, honey, spelt and wheat flour and is very simple to make.

Delicious served with homemade mulberry syrup and yoghurt or ice-cream.....mmmm

  1. Hello, thanks so much for linking in - I'm a bit new at this blog hop business myself. I love the sound of this recipe and your photos are gorgeous. My sister has the Sophie Dahl book and I have been casting many a covetous glance at it. Think it might be added to my Christmas wishlist!

It's one of my cookery books that I find I not only like reading, but making the recipes too....oh and looking at the lovely images. I hope you get it for Christmas.

    1. It really is one of my favourite recipe books and not just because I have a bit of a Sophie Dahl crush. I love that she switches healthy ingredients into not so healthy old time favourite recipes to make them more appropriate for every day.

  5. Hi Debby.
    This cake looks so good!!
I look at all things, that dish so nice and also Liberty fabric.
I take note of the book that you recommend, I like to cook different things.
If the next Christmas I can get back to London I will buy this book.
    Have a good weekend

    1. It is really scrumptious Montse and the Liberty tea towel belonged to my mum so has lots of nice homely memories.
I hope you get a copy for Christmas too Montse.
