Yarn Along -

A quick Yarn Along catch up...the wind is howling outside although the sky is beautiful and blue. Perfect knitting weather...

The secret stocking filler stash is growing... but I can't show you that. But I have been asked for two more pairs of the little hopsalot bunny slippers.  The first two pairs now have happy homes. I couldn't get any more of the felting wool that I used before but found this  Ethical twist organic yarn for half the price. Fingers crossed it will felt as it's 30 percent alpaca. They're currently soaking in my bread-making bowl. I hope they soon shrink as I need to make bread today!

I keep finding myself having to swap around knitting so that I don't knit the items in front of the people I'm making them for...do you have that problem at the moment?

But I found this photo of half knitted decorations on iphoto...I forgot I'd made Christmas bunting last year...Hopefully I can find them and we'll get the decorations up tonight...

...and reading...I'm ensconced  in Fruitlands:The Alcott Family and Their Search for Utopia  a fascinating book that I'll write more about when I've finished reading.

I can't wait to see what everyone else is doing over here...

  3. It's a fascinating read, the Alcotts were connected to so many interesting people like Emerson and Thoreau both in the US and the UK.

Oh and Kate...the hand felting didn't work so I cheated and put it in the washing machine on 40 degrees...I've just taken it out and it worked amazingly...I must remember to post a finished image next week...
