Oh, I love your post.. The food, the dishes, .... everything..I am a soup junkee and you have some awesome ones,, Are those nettles? And did you put them into the pies? Just wondering..
Hi Faye, Thank you. I'm a bit of a soup junkie too and always have a big pot of some sort on the the go. They are nettles on the kitchen counter. I made little short crust pastry tarts filled with mushrooms cooked with a bit of garlic, stilton cheese (that's a blue veined english cheese) and wilted nettles. I think nettles are just as tasty as spinach and I have lots of them growing at the bottom of the garden, so plenty to hand. They are supposed to be extremely good for all sorts of things health-wise, and they are free! I love to do a spot of foraging. I'm going to come and peep in your kitchen now. I have to admit that yours is one of my favourite places to visit. debx
Thanks, dear.. And yours is one of my favorites.. Actually, I couldn't find you on the hop so looked you up anyway and was so thankful you had posted.. We still have snow here in Eastern Canada but I do want to find some.. xo
Thanks Steph. I love fruit and vegetables and when new things come into season like the asparagus and spring greens. Scrumptious. debx ps I've got the location for the antique place I was telling you about in France. I'll email you now. dx
I know Karen. Everything is just in the right place for me here and I will have to start all over again. It will take a little while but it will soon by home again and I'm looking forward to the adventure. dx
