Debby, I would love to spend a month or two in your kitchen eating all the food you prepare. Every time I visit here I find myself wishing I was sitting down to your table too, it always looks delicious.
Debby, we do have elderberries here. I have several trees growing wild in a ditch bank on my land and I won't let the guys cut them out. I do have a bucket full of berries in the freezer I need to do something with soon. I make elderberry syrup last year and we used it all winter.
Thanks Tracey I feel exactly the same about your kitchen.
Elderflower syrup is so good isn't it... I'm glad that you have an abundant supply. I long for summer the honeysuckle to blossom so that like you I can make that syrup too. debx
Thanks denise. They are my favourites too. I've had them for a very long time. Unfortunately they are quite small so don't get used too often. In hindsight that may be a good thing...I can be a bit clumsy and would hate to loose any of these. debx
Thank you Faye. I'm a bit behind with all my blog reading but have especially missed reading yours this past week. I'm going to remedy that today. debx
I want to be in your kitchen what a lot is going on. Mine is a clearing station at the moment as we prepare for an extension to the original kitchen - more like a butlers station going in for preparation with a little vegetable sink. But the demolition I am dreading. So yours looks like the perfect place to be at the moment.
Oh I like the sound of the vegetable sink. It sounds as though it will be gorgeous and worth all the upheaval. I hope that things aren't too disruptive for you. I think we have a similar time ahead when we move to our new home. So I'm trying to take advantage of the order in ours at the moment. It's a shame you couldn't pop over whilst the work is going on. debx
Puy lentils are my new favourite quick supper addition. So quick to prepare and they have amazing flavour. It seems that we have at last got the house that called to us. Thanks Karen. debx
