This week in my kitchen :: 9

Capturing my love of whole foods, combined with the activity of a bustling kitchen.
A weekly collection of photos from the center of my home.

Well there hasn't been much activity or bustling in my kitchen this week because we haven't been there. We've been visiting the new one (I think that would count) and instead of wooden spoons and spatulas I've been using tape measures and rubber gloves to measure corners and pull up old linoleum to see what's lurking below. we've been checking if the wall can be removed to open up into the storeroom, If this old sofa will fit into the stair well; or the old school table could be squeezed into that corner.

Then standing, listening to what seems to be an all day long  dawn chorus. Spying a green woodpecker with his proud red hat just outside the kitchen window who cheekily flew away before I could snap him.

But what's about your kitchen this week? and are you coming to  join Heather  and everyone else for her weekly blog hop

    1. Thanks Faye. I hope one day it will be as cosy and homely as your homes. We don't move for a little while until all the paperwork is sorted out...but there's lots of mental planning going on in our minds. Everyday one of us has a new idea to share.

    1. Hi Denise,
I think they are indigenous to Europe and Asia. They are very cute bright green with little red topknots and the males have little red moustaches and the female black ones!

  14. Oh, I am just tickled pink to get a peek into your new kitchen! I love the (I'm assuming it's the front) door, the dark beams, and the cute little cubby door under the stairs. The French doors are lovely too...I have such a thing for French doors...I think they add such elegance to a room. You must be having so much fun!

  15. Thanks Emily. It's the back door into the garden. We love it.The front door is a much smaller modern door that we hope to replace with something that suits the house a little more.
