I make slow progress knitting in the passenger seat. Clicking away merrily. Enjoying the feel of soft yarn slipping through fingers that become small cogs in the knitting machine. Cars whizz by. I work another twenty rows before discovering the stitch dropped on row six. So busy watching speeding cars that I don't notice until it's too late to remedy on the move. I put it back into the bag to sort out later... I love this simple shawl and the way the kettle dyed yarn is knitting up. It doesn't matter that it's taking me far longer than it should to knit. I'm not quite ready for the process to finish.
I've just begun my almost, too pretty to read, book. Did you see the cool grey cover, the vintage print end papers, and book mark? An awesome gift from this amazing shop. I'm still more excited about the shop, the book, and knowing that's it's no longer neglected, than the contents yet. Thanks P. (I still haven't shown you the tea she brought, and apron that she crafted)
Thanks also to P, this has been the play list for my week...
(please excuse any adverts...they are just there...nothing to do with me)

I have done that Debby and it's so frustrating. I hope you get your knitting straightened out and are back on track soon.
ReplyDeleteYour book is very pretty.
PS- Hump Day is Wednesday, the middle of the week, half way to the weekend. :)
It's all sorted now...I was too busy sightseeing and talking to notice the missed stitch! Thanks for the info on hump day...new to me.

hope you fish out that dropped stitch and continue merrily along. Lovely light color you are knitting with and I've said before that that shawl is on my bucket knitting list.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, I thought it safer to do at home. It's so nice the yarn that I'm happy to dawdle along with it.

I, too, was blessed with many happy knitting hours in the passenger seat over the last weekend; also working on a shawl. Hope the dropped stitch is one easily picked back up. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks it's all sorted now and I've actually been wearing the shawl this week.
DeleteGood luck with your shawl too...

Oh I love that pattern. I've seen it several times and I keep wondering if I should go ahead and add it to my queue on ravelry. Yours makes me think I should. Love the color, too. It goes nicely with your book :).
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kelli
It so easy to make Kelli...one that you can easily pick up and put down when you are busy. As long as like me, you don't keep dropping stitches!

That yarn looks so soft and touchable. I really love the color--it suits the shawl pattern perfectly. And that book--gorgeous!
