  1. I love that doctor's bag! When I was at uni I had a little vintage school case with a bakelite handle that I took everywhere. I still have it somewhere full of things from that time - a sort of time-capsule. I've not heard of Alys Fowler but we planted some herbs and vegetables (baby beetroot, chives, basil and parsley) last week while the kids were on holiday and we already have a few sprouts - very exciting.

  2. Your bag sounds lovley. I've not had mine very long. I'd been looking for one for ages and couldn't believe my luck when I saw it for 4.99 in an Oxfam Shop. It was labelled 'Amateur Dramatic?' I used it a couple of times and the handle broke...I was really upset. The cobbler tried to dissuade me from having it repaired as the leather is in such bad condition but I was determined to use it....I love the old worn leather.

It's a great feeling when you see little green shoots growing....that's so fast......
