Hanging out washing to dry yesterday I spotted this little guy looking rather vulnerable, and a little ruffled.
Maybe he wasn't finding flying as easy as it looked...I wasn't sure what to do...
I'm no flying expert...so took him out a little dish of water so that at least he wouldn't dehydrate. He about-turned and stumbled off under an old pile of lemon balm...good he was hidden from cats and foxes and magpies.
I checked his little hidy hole this morning and thankfully he'd gone with no trail of carnage so it looks like he found his wings after all...
...seems this little one escaped the magpies too...
