{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. linking to soulmama
Oh I see so many seasons in your photo. Here we pick blueberries in the spring, blackberries in the summer and acorns in the fall. Have a great weekend.
How interesting that the order of things is different in your part of the world Tracey.
The blue fruit look just like blueberries Tracy but they are Sloe berries. I don't know whether you can find them in America. They are very sour and make your teeth go all funny if you eat them but traditionally they are collected and put into bottles of gin, along with sugar to make Sloe Gin. I was visiting a friend in London last weekend and found some open land across the road from her house that was full of them. I thought they would make a lovely old fashioned Christmas present for friends who like to drink gin.
Yay! Acorns is truly a sign of fall :) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI just love this time of the year.
