It was an amazing weekend with lots going on, lots of people and doings, meals and things and new experiences, but too much to write. We're back home now and I made a simple smoked fish salad and I started to embroider the dress I'm making that was inspired by a trip with 'H' to the V & A a while ago. If you've never been there before and get a chance to go, you definitely should.
...Just look at all those gorgeous dresses...

How simply beautiful! Sometimes I think if would be nice if we still dressed in such beautiful gowns, but can you imagine the laundry?!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home and it's nice to hear you had such a grand time.
It would be awesome Tracey...but I know what you mean...the ironing!!
DeleteThanks Tracey.

while you are making salad, I am cooking soup, lasagne and curry over here at http://homespunblissblog.blogspot.com I had a great time at the V & A a couple of years ago but a lot of the fashion was closed off. Glad to see your pics!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've just had a peep at your soup it looks scrumptious. Love the sound of the peanuts.
DeleteThe V & A is amazing isn't it? Hannah and I just kept ooh and aahing every time we turned a corner.

wow did you do a lot while adventuring! I always have a soft spot for little snippets of you home, it looks lovely, inviting and somewhere where I could sit and knit and eat good food.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't go far but it was all so cosmepolitan that it was almost like circumventing the globe in four days but I forgot to take my camera with me. I missed so many amazing photograph opportunites. We plan to get to France next week for a few days I must remember to take it with me so I have some nice photo's to share when I get back.
DeleteMaybe we'll do that one day Karen. That would be lovely.

Gorgeous! I wondered where all those lovely costumes (and such an extensive selection) would all reside and I shouldn't have been surprised to see that it was the amazing V&A. I went there one day many, many years ago but there's always time for another visit isn't there?!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip to France and remember that camera!

Been to that very same exhibition at the V&A with my sister, who's a big fashionista when she came to visit- and she really loved it. Even I, whos not so much into fashion (I'll rather eat), rather enjoyed it! Have a good time in France :) x
