Yarn Along - The Big Knit

I've got a hat on my needles. A tiny, weeny, little one for the big knit. Good job it's so small because I'm a bit late, the deadline's next week.

You might have time to join in too. The video below explains what it's for...

...or you can read a bit about it here

There are fun patterns...or you can make up your own. I knitted some of the cute little strawberry hats...

My Annabel is still on the needles, too. There's little time for knitting, but I love the tempo of this project.  The pattern, the yarn and the smooth bamboo needles...They positively flow...

I've been picking up lots of books and reading a few pages, then putting them back down again. Probably because they were just there. I didn't choose them. Or maybe,  because I got so comfortable reading the last novel, that I wanted to go back to that place.

Then I picked up The Crying of Lot 49, by Tomas Pynchon and found myself carrying on.

It had echoes of Murakami's writing. Which is a bit unnerving because I have a love/hate relationship with his work. I love his choice of words and amazing chapter titles, but not always the content...sometimes it's too shocking. I'm half expecting the same thing to happen with this novel.  Lets see how far I get with it...I'll let you know...

...but what about you have you any projects on the needless to share this week?

Sharing with ginny

  5. I know that feeling of wanting to go back to a good book that's done being read. I hope you find another good book soon. The little strawberry hat is cute!! I saw a skull hat on a wine bottle in Williams and Sonoma (expensive kitchen store) so you must be onto something hot!!!

    1. Thanks Karen, there are a few I need to order I think.
I think they'd make great little egg cosies for boiled eggs too.
