Last 'Yarn Along' my needles were dancing. Now they are positively skipping...even turning summersaults and pirouetting...
My new circular needles arrived, all thirty two of them...I'll never need to buy another pair. They are gorgeous smooth bamboo, light and easy to manoeuvre; the transition from the circle to the bamboo pin almost unnoticeable because the larger the needle, the wider the tube. They came in two calico bags so I shouldn't loose any of them and with the size etched into the bamboo, no need to measure when I need a pair. They are perfect, and so inexpensive (I've seen similar sets for ten times the price) that I really didn't expect this much.
I've just begun the Annabel sweater now that my socks are finished, and as I cast on and knit and purled the first few rows, I had a warm fuzzy feeling...The beginning of a new project. One that I can read along with...I'm still enjoying The Accidental Tourist. Sad that that it's almost finished but anticipating the next book in the pile.
Joining with Ginny for yarn along...

I have been meaning to say how much I love your clock in your photos. Having said that - let me say I love bamboo needles! I am an occasional knitter having said that let me say I have been knitting all my life having been taught by my mother at 3 or 4 years of age - my mother and grandmother were famous knitters my aunties have knitted all manner of garments for my grand-babies. But when the notion takes me I take up a project and am passionate about it. You sound very passionate about your new pins! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks. I love it...I love massive men's wristwatches for myself too. I'm so pleased with the needles especially as they are so expensive here but this set was amazing value. I half expected them to be no good at all but they are a pleasure to work with.
DeleteHello Debby:
ReplyDeleteThat most beautiful socks, I would like to learn to knit socks, I will try to find someone to teach me. I take note of your recommendation of bamboo needles.
Good weekend
