Woven Map Lampshade

At last I've managed to finish making a lampshade out of old vintage maps. I love the shape of this lampshade we've had for years, but the paper had got ripped and I couldn't repair it without spoiling it and so about a month ago decided to try and recycle it somehow.

We have a picture I'd made from woven maps in the room, so I decided to have a go at weaving a shade from maps! I did the weaving no problem it was fun.....but how would I attach it....For a month it's been clipped to the frame with wooden clothes pegs with all bits hanging down waiting for me to try and stitch it.....eventually this weekend I had time to get round to actually stitching it on....it was a sinch....nothing like as hard as I thought it would be......
You can't really tell from this photo, but at night when it's lit....you get lovely little squares lighting up where the maps meet each other........

I've decided I'm going to go into lampshade making.....honestly.....watch this space......
