KOA

Every year the village holds a shop in the little old church hall. It lasts for the whole month of August and all the proceeds go to KOA, Kennington Overseas Aid. This year anything that's raised from the shop and other projects will go to help people in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador.
It's kind of like a big 'Bring and Buy' sale with everyone bringing things they no longer need.

We popped in yesterday and found a chandelier for the garden for £1 which I hung in the mulberry tree over the garden table. I'm dying for it to get dark tonight so I can try it out. We also found a cute little teapot also for £1......I think that this buy may have been influenced by my recent interest in gypsy caravans!
