"Look for beauty in the space between"

"What you're  doing matters...You are writing the story of your only life every single minute of every day..."

At the weekend we were invited to a festival.  It was in a beautiful setting. There was music and drink and food and tents and mud. Some old friends and lots of new ones... All the usual festival things. But this one was different. We were celebrating a birthday. It was of a life sadly cut short much too soon. Our friends daughter died very unexpectedly at twenty four.  We found out last Christmas...a note in our Christmas card. It was like being knocked down with a brick...we couldn't take it in and still can't believe it.

On the same day I found this video on a blog here made by Katherine Centre and the shutter sisters. It was shared by a mother who'd lost her grown up child too, three years ago.  I was going to show this to my daughter H. Just personally, to let her know how much she means to me and I wanted to remind her to make every day important.  I did...I showed her at Christmas. But I decided to share it here too because I think that if like me you can't always think of the right words to say that you might want to share it with your daughter or son too...

...and it reminded me to "look for the beauty in the space between."

    1. She had so many friends that really loved her. It was a really moving weekend...everyone was laughing one moment and then crying the next.
