This week in my kitchen - 3

Capturing my love of whole foods (and in my case, sometimes requested slightly unwholesome foods too,) combined with the activity of a bustling kitchen.
A weekly collection of photos from the center of my home.

  1. While everything looks amazing, especially the rolls, I find myself drawn to your second to the last photo and the picture of the woman, I love it!

  2. It's a small Modigliani print. I love his work especially this particular one, partly because my aunty who was an artist had a large print of this in her studio. But I also love the subject of mother and baby, the colours and her clothes. I really like his work (not all but a lot of it) and have a few small prints dotted around the house.

    1. Thank you Debby for the artist's name and now I know the name of your painting, gypsy Woman with Child. I will be keeping my eye out to see if I can find any of Modigliani's works here.

  5. Looks like you had a wonderful week in the kitchen Debby. I've been thinking lately of baking more often. It's so satisfying, isn't it? Your rolls and your muffins look fantastic. I usually love making biscotti and having it around for afternoon tea. But that's a bit of a problem then...too much yummy biscotti around the house! :)

    1. Thanks Veronica. I did. I haven't had much time for baking over the last few weeks so it was good to find some time to indulge in some. I do find it very therapeutic...but there is the dilemma about eating it. Biscotti....ooh that would be too tempting.

    1. We are in the process of packing up the house to move and I couldn't find the paper cup cases so had to improvise! I'm glad that you like them...I probably won't bother to buy them any more.
I love Tessa kiros' books they are so beautiful to look at. I have to confess that her books aren't my most used...recipe wise, but probably most looked at and poured over. They are so lovely.

    1. Thanks Debi. I usually would choose white ones but they'd run out when I bought them. I'm glad I chose the pink instead, they make a nice change.

    1. Thank you Faye. It's nice flour milled from not too far away. Although it's called Wessex mill, it's from right here in Oxfordshire.
